The municipality of Cluj-Napoca, as the consortium leader, implements the project „Blueprint for NetZero Apartment-Block Neighborhoods”, financed by the European Commission program – Horizon 2020. You can find the announcement of the start of the project here .

21/02/2018 Transylvania Energy Cluster obtained the Silver certification. During December 2017-February 2018 the executive of the TREC cluster consisting of the President, Executive Director and Program Manager held an interview with the representative during two days 10-11 January 2018 European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis, Ms Lucia Seel.
Following the evaluation, just two and a half years after the legal establishment of the TREC cluster as an NGO, the cluster executive proved excellence and high skills and received this certification. The full report on Silver certification can be read here .

June 2017
On June 29, 2017, the General Assembly of the members of the TREC Cluster took place, in which the same executive team was unanimously elected: President: Dr. Eng. Adrian Bot, Executive Director: Alexandra Stoica and Program Manager: Dr. Oana Raita . New opportunities were presented to members to promote their companies, in future events in which the TREC cluster will be a partner.

On June 26, 2017, a Workshop was organized with the members of the TREC Donau network both in order to complete the Horizon 2020 project proposal and to strengthen the international cooperation relations of the Cluster members.

On June 12, the TREC Cluster, together with the consortium of clusters from Transylvania organized the match-making event of the Open Innovation 2.0 Conference during which business meetings took place between cluster members and companies in the field in order to establish future cooperation.

Transylvania Energy Cluster was present at several events within the project " Innovative Cluster for Advanced Pilot Technologies in Alternative Energies - CITAT-E"
